Our client, a Series A blockchain infrastructure provider with numerous recognizable customers and investors, is seeking a DevOps engineer experienced with Kubernetes. The hired individual will help to build and run large-scale, fault-tolerant staking node infrastructure for their clients who are primarily comprised of institutional cryptocurrency investors and cryptocurrency exchanges.
This client’s tech stack includes Kubernetes, Consul, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, and more which you’ll be responsible for leveraging to ensure reliability. The majority of the engineering team is currently based in Boston, however, they are open to remote candidates as well if they have the right backgrounds.
Reliability is massively important to this client’s customers, so this devops engineering role is at the heart of their technical team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining these systems alongside other members of the team.
DevOps Engineer Responsibilities:
-Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services
-Maintain infrastructure services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
-Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
-Practice sustainable incident response and blameless post-mortems.
DevOps Engineer Qualifications:
-Experience with container orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes)
-Experience with Cloud Provider APIs (AWS and GCP)
-BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
-Experience with DevOps, IaC, algorithms
-Experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl or Ruby.
-Experience with cloud High Availability, Fault-tolerance, and Disaster Recovery, and automation
-Interest in the blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
-Interest in designing infrastructure and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
-Systematic problem-solving approach
-Experience with data structures, complexity analysis and software design.
